Our activities in Kenya are made possible through the support of government bodies, corporations, and crowdfunding contributors.
Since our inception, ACEF has collaborated with international agencies and commercial partners to construct clinics, set up water pumps, fund schools, and reforest dry lands. Below is the record of our major grant projects.
β’ Built regional plastic recycling and waste sorting infrastructures in Embu (2012β2013).
β’ Executed 7 community projects: youth vocational training, learning support in slums, mobile medical clinics, and women's self-reliance support (1995β2004).
β’ Directed the Environmental Conservation Training and Leadership Development Project in Embu County (2016β2017).
β’ Executed 7 major forestry campaigns: "School Forests" projects and environmental conservation education in semi-arid zones like Isiolo and Embu (2004β2018).
β’ Funded Embu clinics operations, organic farming training centers, HIV patient counseling rooms, and guesthouse utilities (1992β2002, 2007β2014).
β’ Planted drought-resistant indigenous Mukau (Melia Volkensii) trees in semi-arid communities to elevate local household income and combat desertification (2011β2018).
β’ Sponsored Kenya Marathon events (2013).
β’ Funded the e-Remodel Forest Restorations (2015β2016).
β’ Financed livestock programs and the solar-powered deep well water pump in Makima dry village (2018β2020).
β’ Supporting clinical visits and medication distribution for HIV/AIDS patients (2019β2024 active).
β’ **Panasonic**: Solar Lantern "Lighting Project" for off-grid student quarters (2013).
β’ **Toyota**: Environmental Activity grant to promote forestation education in school networks (2012β2013).
β’ Funded the launch of Makima Health Clinic and provided operational farms to feed AIDS orphans (2012β2016).
β’ Funded the deep well restoration at Gypsmile Orphanage (2019β2020) and financed construction of vocational training workshop classrooms (2022β2023).
Thanks to hundreds of civic donations via Readyfor, we successfully hit our funding goal. The funds were fully utilized to hook up grid electricity to the orphanage, repair the deep well electric pump, and build an ostrich farm/operational garden to generate food and self-sustaining operational income.
