Fostering grass-roots community development in Kenya since 1991 through three core pillars: Quality Education, Clean Sanitation, and Forest Restoration.
The Specific Non-Profit Organization **Africa Children Education Fund (ACEF)** is an NGO established in 1991. We implement community-led, sustainable assistance programs in the Republic of Kenya focused on education, health/medical welfare, and environment conservation.
In the early 1980s, the Turkana region of northern Kenya suffered a catastrophic famine. Touched by international television reports, three young brothers in Tokyo wrote to a newspaper: *“Please use our pocket money to buy milk for the children of Kenya.”* This led to the launch of the "Milk for Starving Children" campaign in 1982.
To establish direct grass-roots operations, campaign coordinators founded the "Kenya Tenri Society" in Nairobi. They operated medical camps in refugee zones and constructed primary schools. In 1991, following the conclusion of the initial emergency aid campaign, ACEF was formally launched as an independent organization to maintain these bridges of friendship.

First traveled to Kenya in 1990. Taught Japanese at Egerton University (1996-2004). Appointed President of ACEF Japan in July 2014.
