ACEF is looking for table tennis and soccer players, coaches and related parties to improve
the level of players and teams in Kenya, hold leagues and tournaments, and send Kenyan teams overseas for international competition.

History of the table tennis court
•November 2021 – Crowdfunding to start building a table tennis court.
•January 2022 – Table tennis court was completed and tables installed.
Current situation
•November 2022 – One of Kenya’s largest ever table tennis tournaments was held at Goan Institute, Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. About 150 people participated.
We have set up two table tennis tables in the table tennis field in the ASEF facility and hired a coach to teach table tennis to the children who gather after school. Currently, about 30 children enjoy playing table tennis.
Future prospects
My current goal is to raise the children to a level where they can participate competitively in the game. It’s difficult because they don’t know much about the sport, but it’s worth teaching and it’s fun.
In the future, we would like to install a table tennis table in the orphanage, and we would like the children to learn a lot through the sport of table tennis.

From the person in charge
Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Kosuke Sato. I’m a table tennis player and coach who played table tennis from junior high school to university.
My biggest thought is to “want Japanese students to experience volunteering.”
The first time I went to Africa was when I was 20 years old, and at that time I was shocked as if everything had been destroyed. As a Japanese, I thought they had beautiful smiles, even though they lived a poor and inconvenient life.
At that time, I couldn’t tell who was happier than us Japanese. There are many people in Japan who are stressed for various reasons like work, relationships and other reasons. I want people like that to come to Africa. Anything is possible here! Everything we do is for Africa. It is exhilaration when they say thank you! I truly believe it will change your life. We look forward to receiving your application. Thank you for reading to the end.
